Pretty much a non-event in Hampton. About an hour to go to high tide at 13:21âŠmaybe get a foot more. Doesnât look bad at all.
The wind just making the tall grass ripple a bit. The âMandatory Evacuationâ has been canx.
@chipwich, sorry I didnât check in sooner but decided to sleep in this morning. The last few days spent âbattening the hatchesâ afloat and ashore took there toll.
Our thought and prayers to those farther south.

I think, at this point, clicking the little âLike Jetâ for posts from the hurricane impact, area are not because we like the news, but to show solidarity with those going through the storm.

Iâm a bit surprised at the rather abrupt cut off as seems Raleigh is getting a decent taste of the wind and rain, and iâm about 20 miles north of RDU as the 737 flies and it seems like nothing notable is happening

itâs the same shield that keeps us from getting snow here when we really want a snow day when Durham or Mebane are getting them, but allows ice and freezing rain in that misses everywhere else except for Clayton.

How many Amps does it pull? We have power to our boat slip but only 30 Amps max. Right now we are using a dehumidifier to keep the dampness at bay, but it does nothing for the interior temp.
1250 w and 10.8 amps⊠I think youâd be better off with an RV type a/c unit or something that you could lay over the top of your companionway or somethingâŠ
So now that hurricane itâs really⊠Florence and the machine?
