I love nerf guns. They enjoy playing war and its such a cathartic experience to just unload on them little fokkers 
When my boy wanted one, I bought him that and an extra pack of darts and an awesome six shooter for me to blast his posterior with! Kapow kapow kapow run boy, run, kapow!

Related fun fact: my wife kinda disliked us doing sword and buckler sparring in the kitchen…
Edit: actually dagger and buckler in my case and sword+shield techniques in my daughter’s case. Our shields and weapons were the same sizes but she had to use them differently because she was only a meter tall.
