From the developer:
Weâre getting so close to the 1.0 goal. All of the major features I initially planned for the game are there (and then some), so the remainder of Early Access development will be aimed at bug fixes, polish, and filling out any areas that still have place holders. I still have big plans for the game beyond 1.0, so keep your eyes peeled for more news and updates!
Version 0.0.15 is now available on the main branch!
Weâre a bit overdue on the goal of bringing the game to 1.0 by the end of 2019, but weâre moving forward nonetheless. Over the last few months, with the help of everyone participating in the public_testing branch, weâve fixed countless bugs, added many mission editor features which will allow for more interesting custom missions, and brought the F-45A to a more complete state. Thereâs a new tutorials section which will be filled over time to help you take advantage of the every feature of the different aircraft. Terrain rendering optimizations should solve some more of the performance drop in the previous versions. The F/A-26Bâs Operation: Desert Cobra campaign now includes the 8th and final mission.

One thing that sticks out of that changelog that should make everyone pretty excited is:
Added ability to repair vehicle damage at rearming station
That is pretty huge and allows some of these campaign missions to a be a bit easier to finish if youâve taken some damageâŠ

Was practicing air-to-air refueling today in the F-45A and wanted to dump fuel prior to my carrier landing. Set 2000 liters as my BINGO and hit the fuel dump thinking it would cease dumping at the BINGO level. UhâŠapparently it doesnât. Flamed out on very short final because I was concentrating on flying and not on the fuel levelâŠ
At least you got it down in one piece.

I was lucky in that I was a bit high on final. Also, VTOL VR does model electrical system drainâŠso after the engine cut out, you canât even start the APU since there is no fuel for that, so you are running on battery, which dies after a short period and the controls become unusable. I asked on the VTOL VR forum (Discord) if the DUMP is supposed to shut off automatically at BINGO. I think that is how it works in the DCS Hornet, so I may have just thought it works that way in VTOL VR tooâŠ

woah, I didnât know skins were an option? these look GREAT!
They can be loaded via the Mod Loader - you basically launch the game using the Mod Loader, and then when you launch your mission an additional screen comes up in the loading hangar that allows you to select skins to your right.
Picked this up a few days ago. Super fun and engaging. Definitely wished I picked it up earlier.
The developer knows where to draw the line between DCS realism and arcade. Itâs âsimâ enough just to keep you pre-occupied,but in a more simplified process so youâre not lost in the menus and sub menus. Kind of reminds me of the JF-17 simplicity.
Is it just 1 guy coding this game?
