I saw the trailer on Netflix and was very much thinking WTF?
Have not bothered to watch it but it seemed the premise itself was WTF as I couldn’t really judge too much else in that 30 seconds.

Just saw this Alien film on Disney…some good bits but has a similar silly storyline to episode 2 of The new Orville Season…
I think you mean episode 2 of Orville has similarities to this 5 year old film.
Was that supposed to be the joke in that Orville episode that no one got looking at the reviews
It seems like it is trying to go serious - not a direction they should go IMO.
Seth is a huge fan of the TNG/DS9/Voyager era of ST and he set out to make this like it. The “Galaxy Quest” aspect was a misdirection pretty much as while they keep it less serious than ST they never really meant it to be a big-budget hour-long SF comedy.

Even though I watched the entire movie it lost me before I was half way through. IMDb users rate it 3.9/10 and I have to say that is being kind. Only gave it a shot because it was rated #7 on Netflix.
I was hoping for another Cop Land type performance from Stallone and Modine but it fell well short. More the scripts fault than the actors though. No matter how great the actors are they have got to have something with which to work.

ROFL? please tell me a few funny things that were so bad! I’d love to have a reason to watch it!
Man, I’ll never forget how hard my jaw hit the floor over the surprise at Sly pulling that one off
I can recommend “Munich”, especially if you’re into WW2 and if you can find enjoyment in a bit of dramatization (sp?).
And I have to say “the old man” is a good ride so far. The casting is amazing, they found really good lookalikes for the different times depicted. Quite immersive.
It was just plain bad.
Some IMDb review subject lines:

Quoting Netflix: “The fates of several Copenhagen residents collide when a WWII bombing mission accidentally targets a school full of children. Based on true events.” This is Operation Cathage, …“on 21 March 1945, was a British air raid on Copenhagen, Denmark during the Second World War which killed 145 civilians. The target of the raid was the Shellhus, the Gestapo headquarters in the city centre.”
I was drawn to this film as someone said it featured Mosquitos. I went in not knowing anything about the film. Certainly Mosquitos feature, about 10% or less shows some quite well done CGI Mosquito action but the main thread of the film is introducing us to a number of the casualties of the raid, particularly the school children and nuns accidentally targeted. It also introduces us to some of the resistance held captive and used as human shields and some others.
It is a powerful film, with subtitles, and is a no-holds-barred treatise on the effects of collateral damage.
Yesterday night I watched again Source Code.
Source Code (2011) - IMDb
It never fails to move me at the end…
Yes, it’s campy- a bit all over the place, so much of the side characters makes no sense- and yet…
EDIT: I keep thinking it would have been an amazing tv series, two seasons top.
I recently watched this one with my wife.
I have seen it once before but that was long ago.
It holds up pretty well IMO.
It’s pretty awesome… loses somewhat around the end- but it’s awesome.
One of my all time favourite films
As I seem to recall the animals were stuffed and ended up at a museum in Chicago, Illinois?

Not sure about the city, but yeah they ended up in a museum.
The Old Man is back, man, like … the Dude is back! Pretty inspirational what he’s been through …
