That was great episode. It took a while before noticing something familiar in the story.
Thank you both. Just started watching Slow Horses, and Gary Oldman is as excellent as always. A bit slow introduction of characters, but after a while it’s getting some action. This series was easy sell to me because of Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
Was watching “The Worlds Fastest Indian” appropriate after all the folk going out again on motorbikes. Recommended.
Then came actoss this. Well worth watching
Showing on Amazon Prime.
Henry Fonda as the bad guy is the twist in this movie. It was a huge surprise at the time and really caught audiences off guard seeing him in such an evil role. Sergio Leone cast him in the role to generate just that shock value since he was ALWAYS the good guy.

And let’s not forget the main tune by Ennio Morricone:
I started learning blues harmonica, and checked out the tabulatures for this. It is mostly composed of 3 notes, but they are bent, which is the most difficult part for the beginner.
Harmonica is great, but the rest of the score is cemented into my brain as well.

Frank, the bad guy? I think:
Very nostalgic.
The way that looked my brain registered it as “Once Upon a Time in the West on Amazon Prime” and I was doing a serious WTF to that remake idea…
I edited the first line of that post into two lines to remove some of the ambiguousness.
I have been trying to think of a contemporary actor that would cause as much shock playing such an evil role as Henry Fonda did at that time. Tom Hanks was the only one that came to mind but Road to Perdition cast him as a fairly unlikeable individual already.

Yeah, the only others that spring to mind for me are Brendan Fraser and Keanu Reeves (just because he is reputedly the nicest guy in Hollywood).
Will Smith, maybe?
Jim Carrey
Sure that would be a… slap in the face.
It’s Friday night - film night! And tonight we watched a delightful film called The Outfit.
It’s different - I’d recommend it.
Showing on Amazon Prime
A timeless feel good movie, especially if you grew up in a small Midwestern town.

Hey thanks for posting this, watched a few and it’s good stuff.
Funny, cast is great (especially the lead), music is good too (forgot how great that first Sleigh Bells record is!)
You ever watch this?
It’s bonkers and I can see it not being for everyone but if you haven’t given it a shot I say try it out, it’s hysterical.
I haven’t, but I just checked out the trailer and I will. Thanks for the tip.
I agree with you. I love this movie, too. Very interesting and atmospheric.
