What we watching? – Mudspike at the movies

Oh man I know exactly!
Even the bad ones are actually still pretty decent. (personally I literally love them all)

There’s never going to be a day when someone asks me to watch a random Star Trek and I wouldn’t agree.

The same thing can’t be said about Star Wars.

Edit: I do regret not buying a Blue Ray reader…

They only came out 15 years ago, I mean it’s not like you waited TOO long or anything…

Even my Honda has a bluray in it for the screen in the back, and I bought the car 5 years ago! :stuck_out_tongue:

I think you mean, you need to purchase a multifunction Blu-ray player made by Sony when justifying this purchase to the significant other. The fact that it happens to be a Playstation 5 is just happenstance.

Yeah. My least favorites are TMP, Nemesis, and the last few with the new crew, but even those are pretty entertaining.

For me it is the same with Star Wars, even my least favorite Star Wars movie is entertaining to me, but there are not many of those that I would prefer over any Star Trek movie, which says something. I’d probably only rank the original trilogy movies higher than my three least favorite Star Trek movies.

I have always loved tinkering with cars and motorcycles. Some of my earliest memories are in the garage with Dad handing him tools and helping (even as a five year old I knew the difference between AF and Whitworth so knew exactly what 5/8 wrench or socket he needed). NB this is New Zealand in the 70’s, there wasn’t a lot of need for metric tools :stuck_out_tongue:

Over the years we did a heap of funky stuff, like put a V6 Buick engine in the back of a Kombi campervan. I think Dad’s rationale was so he could use it to tow the boat… funny thing is he never towed the boat with it, I just think he wanted to see if it could be done

Probably why I am getting a real kick out of this:

@Victork2 - Ace, you really need to check this out!

Treated ourselves to another viewing of Layer Cake this evening. Each time I watch that film I enjoy it more.

Finally got a chance to watch this one (young children parent problems). We both enjoyed it, and the casting was perfect.

I watched this with my (hardcore feminist) mom and trans niece. They were… umm… critical lol.

In the end however, we all three loved the effort to put feminist thought back in the mainstream and the intro was like a pure endorfin shot to me, such joy

Between this and Baldurs Gate 3, I have stopped despairing of our cultures’ direction when it comes to gender issues.

Sorry if this post is too political for some, though i’d say gender issues aren’t politics, they are societal.

I’d go a step further and call them human rights issues.

I have to say I’m never going to hear Matchbox 20 or Crazy town the same way again!
