Believe it used to be popular in Italy as well - at least amongst the expat italian-Australian population you’re likely to find some “Maria”, though of course some anglicised it to “Mary” (less common with recent immigrants… it takes time but things do improve slowly)
I’ve never been to Sweden but it’s on my bucket list of countries to visit. ![]()
Well I’ve never been to Spain, but I kinda like the music.
And I’ve never been to England, but I kinda like the Beatles.
Meh
I don’t think victor got the Three Dog Night reference. ![]()
Correct
but i also don’t really appreciate the beatles

If you like any pop, country, or rock music in the last 50 years, you pretty much owe them thanks for their contributions. The Beatles opened the doors that everyone else walked through.
I believe that they are as important as you say, i don’t disagree. But musically, i dislike a great deal of their material and my tastes are on the extreme side of eclectic. I’ve just never liked them
Fair enough victor! There’s a difference between a band’s influence on music and someone’s personal taste. In my case, I’ve never cared for Elvis or Bob Dylan even though both were highly influential in music.
Blasphemy! Oh you’ll smoke a turd in hell for that! ![]()

Elvis was a great singer who couldn’t write, Dylan was a great writer who couldn’t sing. Definite symmetry there.
Well, I never been to heaven
But I been to Oklahoma
That looks amazing. And no new actors playing parts! Awesome.
I never saw those until they were off Netflix and moved to Disney+, but I should have seen them earlier. At least my wait is shorter than those of you who saw when they first aired!
I needed to treat me to something nice and I finally ticked an item off my bucket list. I finally watched “A fish called Wanda”.
I found it very very funny and a worthy watch. ![]()

Hehehe it’s such a light and delightful movie…
…except for the steamroller. That was heavy.
I watched Nosferatu with my daughter a few weeks ago. We then came home and watched the 1922 original. I can’t say I was crazy about either. I did prefer the modern version over The Lighthouse and The Northmen. I think maybe Eggers just isn’t my cuppa.
