One movie I thought I’d love and it was a Godzilla sized let down was “Sisu”.
No rhyme, no reason, nothing but incoherent rambling. Like “Baron of Münchhausen” written and directed by drunken Tarantino/Rodriguez.
Would have been better as a short. Nobody is going to ever give me back the time I wasted on that crap.

The action scenes look interesting but the premise is absurd. So it’s a top secret mission to find some missing German army colonel and they pick a Tiger tank crew to carry it out? LOL! Yeah that would be real cloak & dagger and inconspicuous. In reality, a mission like this would have been given to a small unit of Brandenburg commandos.

I agree it sounds more like a job for Otto Skorzeny… But in movie studio speak any ‘behind the lines mission’ is a ‘Top Secret mission’.
On the surface it is an absurd premise and my guess is that they had to come up with some idea for why a single tank, because it looks like they are using a real Tiger and not some vis-modded Sheridan like they did in Kelly’s Heroes… and there are like one or two still in running condition? I wonder if this is the tank they recovered from that German guys basement a few years ago… Or was that a Panther?
Also part of the the blurb for Fury was ‘A battle-hardened Army sergeant named Wardaddy commands a five-man Sherman tank crew on a deadly mission behind enemy lines.’ which is no less absurd IMHO, but that was the least of my issues with that film.

I mean, as good as it is to see nazi die (and horribly too is a bonus), it simply wasn’t the movie for me.
I will not say “It’s bad”, I simply didn’t like it on a personal level.

Considering I married a German woman (with an SS picture of her grandfather in the house*) and I currently live in Germany, working for the German Bunderswehr/Luftwaffe of all things, and I am learning German, it’s a profoundly stupid question.
Not all nazi were germans and not all germans were nazi.
The idea that you think you can Voight-Kampff me on the basis of the movie “Sisu” is so fundamentally ridiculous that I am happily blocking you.
Consider me very offended.
*Yes I divorced her but that’s an entirely different can of worms that I don’t need to air here.

My mistake. I thought you were commenting on the trailer for “Der Tiger”. I have no clue what “Sisu” is.

I know it was a question for @komemiute but when I was at 1st Armd Regt (Australian Army), Wittman was held in some esteem and regularly ‘cited’ for his tactical prowess as a tank commander.

@Harry_Bumcrack I have heard the same. I watched a very interesting lecture at the tank museum regarding Wittman and it was absolutely fascinating.

So last night, I got to go see the premiere of the 4K restoration of Master and Commander at the Egyptian Theater in Hollywood. Holy ■■■■, what a wonderful experience, especially the sound. It was so amazing to see it in the theater again.
