I started watching “The Orville” and I love it!
Through the first 10 episodes…
Brilliant humor, simplicistic enough to be Watched as I do other things, and I like the deadpan delivery of the jokes. ![]()
Clint Eastwood day.

Are you going to continue with the rest of the “dollars” movies…
Some of the best soundtracks of any films
I watched the whole of “The Queens Gambit”. It was a true tour de force. I had little interest going in… Pretty girl goes round the world playing chess… blah blah, It was so much more than that. Awesome series. Brought the Sixties to life. Mouth Shut now. Netflix Rocks… Ok now shut…
It’s a redone version of the infamous “Let it be” film that showed them breaking up. Using the unused footage filmed during that period, Peter has gone to show just how little of the time they actually spent fighting and how much time they spent having a great time recording great music.
As for weed, of all the drugs out there to be strict about it ranks alongside prescription strength ibuprofen and antibiotics for importance. It was more about “knocking them down a peg” as opposed to actual criminal behavior.
Now John’s heroin problem in the late 60s was a different animal, and luckily he didn’t have it too long…just long enough to contribute to the band’s breakup. ![]()
May go back and watch the trilogy in order of release if I can find all of them on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

Thank you for that recomendation. It was quite fokking good. I do disagree with them on the etymology of the word the first episode is about. Yes it’s very much like a dutch word. The one for “breeding” (fokken) and that makes a LOT more sense than having it mean “to hit”. The expression “heck yea, I’d hit that” is very much not something you’d find in medieval literature.
Despite the F9F-2 Panthers aren’t catapulted, I always like to see this (concept) trailer, after watching Bridges at Toko-Ri (1954). This vid is at least missing clown Mickey Rooney, a relief!
An absolutely fantastic history show regarding a longtime forgotten woman patriot. I highly recommend.
Intolerable Cruelty.

I have yet to see a Coen brothers film that I really dislike. Definitely going to give that one a try.
Most of the Gerry Anderson stuff was great. My personal fave growing up was space 1999…
After the Apollo program a base on the moon by 1999 seemed plausible, especially to kids, in the mid 1970’s.

It did, but in that show an ‘explosion’ (can’t remember what exactly, something scary and nuclear maybe) made our entire moon move out of the solar system and go on a faster than light journey. It solved the ‘monster of the week’ problem most sci-fi shows have, so a hurtling moon base was in a new place each episode. I had one of the neat ‘eagle’ spacecraft as a kid. It was a fun show.

I had the other varient of that toy… but really wanted that one…

Ted Lasso. Great comedy, really enjoyed it. Not sure if it’s because I’m a UK/USA hybrid but it was very enjoyable - recommended.
Nah, all of my brothers are begging me to watch. Universally adored it appears.
