Spring is coming, good weather to go for a walk on ice.
It is also possible to dip into refreshing public swimming pool

Yesterday I had to go up to our head offices in London (yet another training course) and it was my first chance to see the new headquarters building in Southwark (an interesting pronunciation for my American friends here)
Lemme guess: [schwark ]? Or [bleh’ dee ell 'ohle]?
Oh my, that bird is beyond beautiful! The curves on those wings, utter prefection.
Yeah, the gulls are beautiful in flight and they’re pretty easy to photograph compared to faster moving birds like sparrowhawks, ducks, swallows (!!!) or small birds like Tits, European Robin’s etc.
I’ve also got some promising landscape shots of the sunset but they need some serious work as they’re high dynamic range and look pretty bland without editing
Amazing Photos…Thanks for Sharing
A study in aerodynamics…

Bless you sir.
Is that the evil twin of Suffolk?
I have been trying to figure out the correct spelling for how it’s pronounced … and that’s about as close as I came up with
I mean it’s got nothing on Lympne. My intuition for Southwark was pretty close to the actual pronunciation but with Lympne I was completely lost and had to look it up. The things you learn because of DCS
Lih nee?
Awesome!
I like the last one most, despite the bird’s head being hidden. It looks so dynamic.
wonderful shots
I thought this was an interesting shot that I took on Feb 3rd. The Sun was starting to set behind us as we headed to Florida across the GoM. The white dot at the top of the photo is the Moon. I don’t think I have seen a shadow like that on the horizon before. I’m guessing there was a large cloud somewhere behind us casting a shadow.
Catching up a bit.
Left last Sunday for Fairbanks, but managed to catch some VMFT-401 F-5Ns.
While up in Alaska, took advantage of decent weather. Cold, -5F, but manageable.
Abandoned DC-4 on the ramp with the Denali Mountain Range peeking from behind.
Some SA-10/S-300 SAM targets at Eielson AFB.
I walked the frozen Chena River and caught this open water spot, steaming.
Sun coming through the trees
And leaving Seattle for home, flew right past Mt Rainier
