…ouch, ouch!
A big thank you to @B12, for his post a few days ago. He mentioned that when he had his accident he could feel that his head was not attached / loose. The first thing I did as I was laying on the floor was to check my skull to see if it was loose because I remembered his post!
Of all the stuff you can learn at Mudspike…!
Get well soon @Hangar200!!!
Atleast you proved that the ground doesn’t have a Pk of 100% after all!
Oh wow, that looks like a hard landing, even by Navy standards!
Speedy recovery!! Stay safe!
Ouch! I hope for a speedy recovery.
Whoa, @Hangar200, lucky you didn’t end up worse. Also, who builds their houses so flimsy you can just crash through them like that?! sheesh!
On a more serious note, what did the doc prognose about sailing?
Tuesday 4 weeks ago we did some work with this baby:
It is a Danish Leopard 1A5-DK. Actually the same one I was standing on for the gunshot virginity picture I posted earlier.
Tuesday 14 days ago i caught a slow ride in the same lady. Slow as in TC walking in front.
This Tuesday I have been pulling usefull parts out of another Leopard 1A5-DK, that will be used as a Gate Guard when we are done.
On top of that I upgraded Steel Beast Pro PE in our simulator turret from version 3.025 to 3.028. The PC is not capable of handling version 4.1.
Very cool!
Wow @Hangar200. Hope your recovery is swift and as painless as possible! Don’t beat yourself up so much about those Viggens
This is what I thought you meant will…I’m not a smart man.
Just that eh? Well that’s a windfall! Could have been way worse. You suffer any concussion effects? Better watch those closely, I’ve seen neurological damage slip under the radar with pretty ugly long term results.
Nice!!
Did a bachelor party at Army Days some years ago.
They have a privately owned Leopard. Don’t know if it’s ex. Norwegian or perhaps Danish…? They used to have an ex Danish Army Loach helicopter…
Anyway, we got to ride on top of the Leopard. That was awesome.
But what really caught my attention was when we were having a paintball war and that Leopard came thundering down towards us. Everybody just stopped what they were doing and looked on in awe…! The world was shaking and it looked like a beast from another world about to kill us all. I remember thinking I was glad I wasn’t a real grunt, in a real war.
Is your computer Ok?
Snuck back to RAF fairford this morning to gawk at B52’s and spotted an open hanger…with nothing else than the DRAGON LADY hiding in there…
I was sneaking around the perimeter fence and was obviously attracting attention (think pink panther music) so I didn’t dare take out my 600mm lens so phone pictures it is. I was wearing a bright blue hoodie and had a grumpy 2 year old in tow so I obviously wasnt a direct threat to national security so I was left to it by security and their M4 rifles…
Don’t know yet.
That just sounds so…so…Viking!
Great fun!
ATV driving, skeet shooting, paintball, tactical helicopter flying and Tank driving (last two as passenger). Good food and beer after all the fun and games.
Very Viking!
Oh wow, @Hangar200 that looks painful. Glad you’re alright. I hope you have a swift recovery!
