Where You Are Photos (2019)

I have a mental image of that tank with a huge paint ball “magazine” mounted on the turret! :open_mouth: very Viking indeed!

Yeah it is a beast. To me it is really the sound. That Basso rumble it just touches something in the body.

The Leo sounds in the in the videos i posted about here

are the closest to the real feel as i have heard in a long time. The major reason why I posted them in the first place.

(Force suggestion) Turn Up The Volume! TURN UP THE VOLUME!

They are without distortions so they deserve it.

It goes to 11!

I know the feeling. The mech infantry base where i was stationed for my mandatory service also hosted a few Leo crews because of the huge training grounds around the base. While we did basic field training, the Leo crews were out beating the **** out of their gear in the terrain. A Leo going full speed on unprepared roads is a sight to behold.

@Hangar200 That looks scary, hope you’re healing up well.

Got the 3AM wake up this morning. In Eau Claire by way of Pittsburgh…

I always imagine that watching weather systems from above must be awesome. Getting to watch different phenomenon of weather interacting with terrain and the like.

About a year or so ago, I was cycling with a friend of mine on a trail in Caledon, ON in the summer. We noticed a storm rolling in from the North with heavy rains so we got back to the car and headed home to Brampton just in time to stay ahead of it - and it was keeping pace.

As we get back to the city limits, the storm suddenly stops dead in its tracks and begins to go around what seems like the entire Greater Toronto Area to both the East and West. I can only assume it was the heat stored in the city (thanks asphalt) that created a barrier column of rising warm air.

I can see the film now…

One man…not content with looking through a chain link fence with a grumpy 2 year old boy in tow. Takes a plane from a local airfield and promptly gets hit by 5 different Sam’s at the same time.:joy::joy:

We went to pick up the in-laws from the airport on the weekend. Eva is always super excited about airplanes so we went there a bit early to watch the planes come in.

She was very definite that night that she wanted to read the airplane book for bedtime story, haha.

“Hakapapapa!” (helicopter)

If you ever get over by RAF Alconbury, they have an F-5 at the gate and a A-10 at a traffic circle inside the base. RAF Brampton has an RF-4 at the gate. RAF Molesworth doesn’t have any “planes on a stick” but the GLCM bankers are still there and are pretty impressive.

This is excellent to hear as I’ve taken a right liking to snapping planes from the air. A lot of people at my flying club go out for lunch at different airfields and days out.

I fly there, Take photos and dont land…its great fun.

If anyone knows of anymore random places or planes hit me up and I’ll use them for trips out and report back with grainy photos…

I’ve indulged in some Warsteiner quite a few times. One of our fly fishing buddies loves that beer…

Warsteiner was regular as a medicine when I was working in Berlin at 19!
