I swear to Gods I thought, “damn, got to ask @PaulRix DCS setting. Again!”
Hehe…

Two of them just left.

Good looking Global in that last shot :sunglasses:.

Just the mere presence of one Hog was enough to scare the Eagles away.

Today was my father’s birthday (he turned 66) so I had to get him a gift, with a few requirements.
I believe all gifts should be practical, and if possible something the person would not buy for them self.
I also wanted something that doesn’t take up space - we have enough clutter in our lives, as well as something that embodies being a bit of a smart-ass which is a trait I take after him in, and joyfully make him regret all the smart-ass remarks he made to us growing up!

To give you an example, it does run in the family a bit - his grandfather once got sick of his wife back-seat driving to the point that he went to a scrap yard and got her a steering wheel for Christmas! We don’t take it that far, but I digress…

Here is what I got him:

Wrapped inside is a full retail copy of Windows 10 Professional with USB installation media.
His computer is still runs Windows 7 as he skipped the free upgrade period, adamant he didn’t want to move on. The hardware is a bit old (Original Intel “Core” series, i7-920 with early/cheap SSDs that were added mid-life along with some up-cycled HDDs.) He was planning to upgrade sometime in 2020, after setting aside some funds.

So I got the family around and handed that to him and the reaction was priceless & exactly the mix of happiness, anger and laughter. My mother thought it was hilarious as well. Windows 10 Retail is pretty expensive, but the reaction alone was worth the expense.

Oh…that Thud…mmmm…delicious…

Well the Hardware & Tech category is the one I most eagerly hope, have new content that are of interest to me when I jump on to Mudspike. Your SimBox NG and other content is always inspirational. You are the Mudspike Uber Nerd of all Times. And I mean that in the most positive of ways.

On Tuesday 19/11-2019 I had my first gunner scenario up and running in the GHRVPK Leopard 1A3 turret.

It somehow gives something extra when you are pulling around the handle from the real deal.

A cold experience too, as the turret is in an unheated garage. But it was fun!

I’m intrigued with the 6 barreled non-rotating weapon system in the case. Details?

Other that picture, I don’t. I was very short on time and had to rush by everything. Maybe google maps have better pictures or description.

We’ve had a very weird weather situation this November in that the fronts from the south that are very common for late fall collided with a cold front and resulted in a lot of snow for the south, but subsequently the precipitation turned to rain, which has resulted in tremendous wet snow avalanches and other wet snow related damage in parts of southern Austria and northern Italy.

Some parts got the usual precipitation amount for November during the course of 2 days.
