Beautiful. I am a little bit jealous of that scenery. I have so many travel plans for a time after COVID, visiting the Alps again is one of them. Already missed a couple of trips that were planned for years…

Went out this morning to catch the sunrise: -13°C with clear skies. I think that’s what you call bloody cold. Operating my camera was a pain :smiley:
It’s been over 15 years that I have seen temperatures this low around here! Pictures to follow in the next days.

Insanity. If they please, the weather gods may cut these shenanigans out now. I have jobs lined up and this forced vacation is driving me nuts. Can’t dig frozen ground.

Yeah. Thats like…proper cold. Not Mickey Mouse chilly like we have here. I remember working outside in -14 and wishing someone would run me over. I cant imagine what -63 would be like

I once experienced -21 (IIRC) and that is absolutely brutal.

If its a dry cold with no wind and you stay in motion, -20 is not that bad. Add a bit of wind though and you need to really be careful about frostbite.

Yeah, as long as I kept walking it was okay but as soon as I stopped to take photos it was freezing. The wind certainly didn’t help :slight_smile:

I came home from nightshift and wow, the sunrise was beautiful! I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. The cold air definitely creates a view!
