It’s feeling a little chilly in Texas right now as well…not close to -16ºC but still colder than I am used to. ![]()
This. I rode my bike to the airport, when I was at flightschool in Bardufoss, Northern Norway. It was -30°C but being situated inland it’s a dry climate and there was no wind. I wore a balaclava though. This was the first winter. A couple of us students got together and chipped in for a car for the next winter. Just because you can ride a bike in the cold doesn’t mean that it’s fun. ![]()
Here in Tromsø, which is a coastal town, -15°C is considered extremely cold.
Humidity and, of course, the wind chill factor, makes a huge difference.
Getting some Type I applied in Syracuse… More expensive per gallon than @chipwich’s Gray Man Stout… ![]()
And not as tasty either… Or so I’m told. ![]()

Here it’s already thawing out again. So I called the boys, called the clients, we’re going to get our mud on! Lot of groundwork in the schedule, gonna be wet, cold, dirty and miserable, I love it!
