Righto…! 147 knots of quartering tailwind pushed us from North Carolina to the Hamptons in 1 hour in 20 minutes. But then we had to turn around and come home. 140 knot ground speed gave us a 3 hour 10 flight back. Ouch.

Check out the speeds on the track logs for the two legs:

It took me a moment since I don’t know it that well, but I recognized Washington DC. Yay!

Loved that game… well… I still love it, but it’s harder to find.

Been 75 degrees all month. Now snow. Power just went out too…

That’s enough snow to make the power fail?

Thats a national disaster here in the uk.

I know, that’s like UKs superpower, getting shut down by 3cms of snow.

It’s a heavy, wet snow (temps are just barely freezing) and we got some ice coating the lines first.

It’s mostly due to falling trees and tree limbs over-weighted with ice. Precipitation right around freezing is the bane of the Southeast US. If your home is serviced by underground power lines, as my wife and I enjoyed when we lived in a loft in downtown Atlanta, power loss is a very rare event. The suburbs and further out suffer though.

I hear you, freezing rain is a different animal altogether. It was not apparent from the photo.
