Niceā¦! Hopefully they can simultaneously keep improving the 222s - they are great but could still use some love in the texturing departmentā¦but their cockpits really are nice.
Looks like a fun oneā¦if you are interested in getting your shrimp from A to B in the least possible timeā¦
I have double feelings about this one.
In one way, looks fantastic and i want it, in other way, i canāt forget that after so many years and they never finished the md80 because auto land ap button there is inop.
Now this is podracing!
Is it!!! Hmmmā¦i never noticed, I love the MD80 Rotate put out. I might have to have a flight again and check that out. I may have never used it. (Auto land)
With the detail of the rest of aircraft and its price range, its a shame that the button there is cosmetic only! Not to mention that is a important feature of AP using ILS. Start to worry if this md11 will also be capped
You can even see in forums that many asked and always, to-do, ⦠but after years and so many patches and now with this big project of md11 with their released bugs that for sure will have to repair, its naif to think that they will ever look again to md80 and finish it as they should did even before starting md11.
This autoland inop button is a shame on an addon that was for years claimed as one of the best airliners for xp.
I never tried, but i think that even the default md80 from LR have Autoland workingā¦
Smokinhole, you talk about the default or Rotate md80?
Because since long time Rotate devs announced that Autoland still not implemented, also in page 55 it says that and in foruns official dev answers and also on changelogs until the last version, no Autoland implementation!
Deleted the post since it felt like I was pointlessly poking a beehive.
Anyway, to explain the response, what I said was, after three decades of doing this job Iāve used autoland five times*. Point being is that not every feature needs to be modeled in order to make a good model. All of these airplanes are WAY off the mark if you expect systems to behave as they actually do. The important thing is that they are close enough that for a moment we might forget about the screen, the mouse and the HOTAS.
*In real conditions justifying its use. We often do autolands when requested by Maintenance in order to maintain autoland status for the particular plane we are flying. (They are each required to do a few each year.)
ok, now i got it, you talked about real aircraft use.
Iām not saying that the rest is wrongly made. Its a great addon and infact i recommended it to many friends that wants airliners on xp11 but in not removes the fact thats sad that for so amazing excellent quality of features it fails in something that default LR aircraft have and this one supposed to also have and make part of one of features of real AP. IMHO should be better to not even have the button there to not remember me all the time that they miss it to perfection
New update today which promises to correct issues with Reverb G2 controllers.
Niceā¦! I had gotten around that with the fix of opening my desktop in VR, long pressing my controller mouse laser to open X-Plane from the virtual desktop - that made my controllers work fine. But actually fixing it instead of a work-around is awesomeā¦
Ummm. Isnāt this a kinda big deal? āNext Generationā? Sounds like we are finally hearing more than mum about the next XP.
Iām excited there is a ānext generationā for sure. They will have to address the rather bland scenery going forward and improve the weather. That video is pretty neat with regards to the lighting improvements, but they will need out of the box scenery and weather that can compete with MSFS. I say that looking at it from a casual simmer perspective of course - for meā¦Iāll probably always buy the next version of X-Plane.
With that said though. Iāll probably never buy another version of P3D. I bought v5 and I regret it.
I read somewhere that theyāve hinted they will continue to use autogen scenery instead of satellite imagery. I just donāt see a way for them to compete with MSFS if that is true. And, yes, there is still weather, ATC, multiplayer and more that will all need retooling. The market is big but the market for users who will own both is minuscule. In the casual sim market, there can only be one winner I am afraid. Having said that, a competitive fight to the death is what pushes producers to revolutionize the market. Maybe Austin has it in him to show heās really been the giant all along.
And i hope they not screw the few features that still appeal people using xp11, the smooth performance without a nasa pc and the current addons full compatability.
I know people that even after having msfs bought the xp11 and now having more fun with the smooth experience and some paywares of xp11 than with msfs.
Also thinking that they can do whatever they do on the engine and all devs will update their addons is too much naif and also not good, because many devs ignore older addons and donāt give a cent to update them or spend years to do it. And whatever pretty is the core flightsim, when iām flying iām flying the aircraft, not the scenery (for example even having msfs, xp11, p3dv5, ⦠if you want to fly the master piece addon b377 from a2a you still need to use fsx!!! yeah it sucks and a2a, even with many users cry and begging, they not have plans to migrate it ).
So, many times this hype of a new flightsim instead of a patch of the current one, i not see with much happyness.
The only way I can see that as workable is if there become a 3rd party vendor that wants to supply worldwide imagery to injects into X-Plane (12?)⦠Iād gladly pay a fair sum for that to happenā¦particularly if we get XP11 planes ported forward into whatever is Next-Planeā¦
āNext-Planeā. You should ⢠that right away!
