X-Plane 11 Screens

I might have found my Christmas Flight ride…!

The one from X-Aviation ?

What is it? What is it? Me want! Me want NOW!

EDIT: Found it I think. X-Aviation MU-2?

That’s a great looking cockpit!

My new trusty steed. Carenado Cheyenne.

And my new work horse Carenado Do228.

It did well during the hurricane

Took the default Cirrus SF50 up for a spin…it was OK except for a strange, annoying buzzing tone that started just before I was going to land…oops.

At least it wasn’t a Viggen…

The funny thing was that I had already overspend my flaps. Evidently, XP11 actually bends them when you do that. So this was a no flaps landing and I was a bit worried that I would stop in time…without the landing gear, it was a very short “roll out” :grimacing:

That, and takeoff thrust to taxi, is a good indication that something may need some adjustment before next flight.

A little site seeing in the UK with my new Cheyenne.

The Royal Crescent in Bath,

Stonehenge

I like how you can get out of the cockpit and “explore” on your own in VR.

…and the Dungeness Nuclear Power Station.

I have the ORBX TrueEarth Scenery for Southern UK installed.

Texas Taildragger?

(and which strip is that?)

Yeah…the freeware Propstrike Bush kit. I absolutely love it…

The strip is 3WA0 - Taylor Airstrip, Ranier, Washington:

That “Bush Kit” is a blast. I’ve been doing nothing but helos at Quatam, landing on that alpine meadow thinking I was all special and stuff. Naw man! Rolling just short of the rocks with the yoke in your gut is where its at! What an authentic feel landing tailwheel first with those big tundras chirping along. I wouldn’t give you a nickel for a normal 172 but I might consider trading the Pitts for one of these (as long as I also get to live a Quatam). Man I love good, free stuff! Thanks for bringing her to me, @BeachAV8R!

Yeah…they did a great job on it. I love the AOA indicator. Apparently it is REP compatible too (although I have not tried it). What makes it fun is that it is pretty underpowered compared to most of the more beefy bush planes. Fun stuff.

Agree, they did great job on all their products. Would like to know whot is their next project.

PS : Beach, I hope Quatam river and that Bush kit are pending for some review

…But you have to find every helipad first!

I’m on the mailing list for Just Flight’s news letter. This month it came with a 50% off ‘coupon code’ for their PA28 Archer III. It received a great review in PC Pilot a few issues ago, so I figured it was worth throwing $20 at.

It seems to be a very nice little airplane with some nice features. Well worth $20, although I have to say I probably wouldn’t have spent $40 on it just because it really isn’t an aircraft that fires up my imagination (I was completely happy to pay full price for their Hawk). Quality wise though, it is really nice.

Thanks for the post - I just purchased the same! I needed something better than the default Cessna.

Yeah…it’s a nice and fully featured aircraft for sure. At $20 that is a steal…systems are very good per the list here:
