Isn’t there a mod for that?
I’m just going to put this here because I don’t think Fearless wants me to repost it all again -
That was back in April. For the love of navigation just make any map with water and an island already.
There was, no clue if it still works.
There’s a certain chapter of Red Storm Rising that needs reenacted involving stalking Backfires.
I need to re-read RSR again. The most recent thing that comes to my mind now is the F-14 campaign in SF2:NA. I would love to replace that in my headspace with a LN Tomcat over DCS:Iceland.
Reposts of existing images is fine, the forum software just uses the original files even if a copy is uploaded by using a checksum.
Essentially there are a few cheeki breeki Tomcat missions the book. The one I’m mentioning involves placing a Tomcat along the predicted flight path of a regiment of Backfires, then trailing them home to Norway and extrapolating their landing times back at Murmansk. Then a separate task force does naughty, naughty things to them.
Also applicable is a mission where Tomcats Phoenix the crap out of a bunch of tankers and their escorting Fulcrums.

I sure hope performance will be increased so that VR is usable. It’s getting a little frustrating with 2.0…
Ever play Aces High? Just took me back to island hopping in C-47s.
@anon51893362 - I think it’s the clouds in 2.0. Without clouds it seems much better, so something must have changed on that. Clear blue skies for Nevada for a while in VR for me…
oh my
The Isle of Wight in the foreground, with the Solent and the Southampton inlet behind that. That means they’ll have Portsmouth and the Naval Docks as well. Cool.
A Normandy map will be so much better if we can take off from England. Glad they went with that idea!
The camouflage on that F-111 is so good it actually looks a bit like a B-17…
OMAFGWTFSDFHOSDFH! That B17G…
Holy crap, I would love a DCS B-17.
+1 on a DCS:B-17! With crew resource management like that old Microprose B-17 Flying Fortress!!!
Still one of my favorite games, even just for the management aspect.
