Something like that.
C-130’s got some love in v2 -
I am jazzed to see lights on the aircraft now -
These guys get out and hang around for a few after parking -
When you try and spawn them in one giant chevron, but it’s half past midnight and you don’t check your math…
If i squint hard enough, i see an f111
Do we even want to know what you’re attempting to do, or even more, why??
What?
Dynamically scripting an N regiment soviet anti-carrier raid (that btw, is about a single regiment).
I never forgot about that, I’ve just needed to spend the last year or so getting up to snuff on DCS scripting before I felt comfortable taking a crack at it.
Why?
Can’t be on the highway if there’s no danger zone.
Ah, Dance of the Vampires.
So, will we at least be able to launch from the carrier before everything turns into a slideshow?
That’s what I expected too. That said, last night I spawned in 120 Backfires for the lulz and to my bewilderment it didn’t effect the frames all that much. I’m probably going to just up the amount of missiles per bomber rather than use that many, but I was surprised.
Let’s see… 2 Tomcats on BARCAP, 2 on Alert 5, maybe 2 more on Alert 15…
What’s the rate of fire for a Mark 26 dual-arm launcher?
That carrier is gonna get CREAMED.
Well good news is all the Ticos in DCS have Mk41s for days.
Bad news is all the Ticos in DCS shoot like geriatrics with muzzle loaders, and the SM-2s are about as accurate.
Invest in life rafts
But if you want a realistic Cold War scenario, you’re looking at a few Belknaps with mk 10 launchers, Californias with mk16’s, and Virginias and early Ticos with mk 26’s.
Eh, my kind would be dead anyway.
Problem with that is we have exactly 0 of those in DCS. You get Mk41s and Mk13s, and you’ll like it.
