RAZBAM: Mirage 2000C

So, is now a good time to begin learning the M2000C? The furious pace of updates has sort of put me off, thinking that there might be a lot more coming. Any more major bugs to squash?

Three months ago was a good time!

There’s nothing too game breaking. I feel like the radar needs some more love, as does the INS and some facets of the systems modelling, but there’s nothing overtly game breaking at the moment

@chipwich, @Baltic_Dragon’s training missions are bound to be released soon. Maybe that would be a good time to start. Still it’s not overly complicated and a lot of fun to fly!

Thanks @near_blind and @Sryan. Good info. That campaign does sound like the perfect time to jump in.

Hey guys! Many thanks for the kind words on the campaign, we’ve gone a long way with it, I had fantastic voice actors (who actually improvised parts of the scripts which made it feel so much better in the end), great beta testers (when you play Mission 13, the last mission of the campaign, always remember that it wasn’t originally there but it materialised on the suggestion of @Sryan and with big help of @Gliptal - and now I think this is one of the coolest missions in the whole campaign!). I hope it will do the trick as it is partially devoted to training and it will expand on what is taught in the training missions (these were checked and reviewed by @Azrayen, and those who follow the M-2000C forums know that he is a real expert on the issue).

As for the release date I am not allowed to comment before you get something official from Larry or Ron, but it is coming soon (not today though!)

RAZBAM continues to amaze. I hope the bar they set is seen by future developers as a challenge to meet, not to avoid.

CCIP improvments ! like i said they should do before …

I am also happy about this

CCRP is amazingly accurate now ! make sure u lock (pressing the magic slave key) 4 km away from target from a wide angle approach… destroyed T-90’s on after some training one by one

Fantastic news! Does the CCRP mode work like a tossbomb thing now?!

from what i been testing … and i been doing it a lot u can toss the bomb but u need to make sure u got the target marked correctly in first place and then just pull up for tossing, press and hold the trigger as the release cue line comes up and u should hit the target … takes lots of practice still to make sure your plane is perfectly aligned with the target

More RAZBAM Mirage 2000C

[quote]The BLG-66 Belouga cluster bomb is now functional. While smaller in size to the MK-20 Rockeye it is heavier.
BLG-66 / MK-20
Mass: 290 Kg vs 222 Kg
Bomblets: 151 / 247
Bomblet mass: 1.3 Kg / 0.59 Kg
This means that the BLG-66 bomblet carries a bigger punch.

So …Mirage news. It might seem like this thread has ended but most of the news gets captured in the DCS World 1.5.x or DCS World 2.1.x threads. So this is welcome

M-2000C Update schedule

From the ED Forum post: here

Folks,
I understand that you are anxious for news about the updates that are scheduled for the M-2000C.
Despite the AV-8B NA taking precedence in all our work schedule, the M-2000C has not been forgotten and several improvements are ready to be deployed as soon as we are able to do so:

  • FM updates
  • New collision model.
  • Textures improvements

On the avionics side, I still have to start working on the promised changes, but they will be coming. In fact I think that the M-2000C will benefit from the hiatus since some stuff that we learned while developing the AV-8B NA will be used with the M-2000C.

Not a lot of news, but these are true news.

Good to see. I own the m2k but don’t fly it much, but the fact that razbam care enough to continue to fine tune their products long after release make my decision to pre- purchase the av-8 all the easier
